The Worshipful Company of Carmen Capping Ceremony

I’m delighted to share that today I attended my capping ceremony with The Worshipful Company of Carmen at Carmen’s Hall in the City of London. This was conducted by Past Master Nick Laister and Immediate Past Master David Pugsley.
Becoming part of such a historic Livery Company is such an honour. The declaration made during the ceremony serves as a reminder of the Company’s enduring values of promoting fellowship, charitable giving, and supporting the transport and logistics industry.
Having had close links to the industry through my husband Geraint Davies, it feels particularly meaningful to join as a spousal member. I am very grateful for this opportunity, and excited to contribute to the charitable nature, traditions and community of Worshipful Company of Carmen.

It has been a wonderful day and I’m very much looking forward to my Freedom of the City ceremony, as well as the ongoing ability to contribute alongside other members, and the journey that lay ahead.
Woolmen’s Sheep Drive & Livery Fair

Today, 28th September Geraint Davies and I, Jen Lorraine had the pleasure of attending the Woolmen’s Sheep Drive & Livery Fair in London, driving sheep over Southwark Bridge. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day filled with history, tradition, and just a few sheep!
Dating back centuries, the Sheep Drive celebrates the ancient right of Freemen of the City of London to drive sheep across London Bridge, a tradition that continues to bring people together in the heart of the City.
It was lovely to catch up with familiar faces and new ones.
All in all a baa-rilliant day celebrating this ewe-nique heritage, bringing together community and camaraderie.
Cart Marking 2025

Today we had the pleasure of attending the historic Cart Marking ceremony in London, hosted by the Worshipful Company of Carmen.
Despite the heavy rain, it was a wonderful day and it was great to see so many familiar faces and meet new connections. The sense of tradition and community is special. Another fantastic event by the Worshipful Carmen.
Freedom of the City of London

Absolutely thrilled to share a momentous occasion today! Words cannot express how proud I am of my husband, Geraint Davies.
It was a true honour to attend the ceremony today in the Guildhall, London and witness him being awarded the Freedom of the City of London. A remarkable achievement for an extraordinary person.
Well done Geraint on becoming a Freeman of the City of London!
