The Sheep Drive September 2026

Not your average Sunday…..On Sunday 27th September, I exercised one of the more unusual privileges that comes with being a Liveryman and that is to drive sheep across Southwark Bridge and over the Thames.

The annual Sheep Drive hosted by The Worshipful Company of Woolmen, is a fantastic long-established charity event, celebrating a Freeman’s ancient “right” to bring sheep to market over the Thames.

It is always a great day to celebrate this historic event and it is so lovely to see all of the stalls proudly set up and on show celebrating their trades.

It was a great privilege as a Liveryman to take part in such a unique historic tradition.

The Worshipful Company of Carmen Cart Marking July 2026

As always, it was great to connect today with so many inspiring people at the The Worshipful Company Of Carmen Hall Cart Marking 2026 in London. It was a pleasure speaking with, and exchanging ideas with familiar faces and new, and discussing new opportunities ahead. I am very much looking forward to staying in touch and continuing those conversations. As for the event, well the sun was shining, and what a wonderful display of vintage, new sustainable and military splendour on show. The luncheon was excellent and so was the company. Well done to everyone involved behind the scenes helping the day run smoothly. It's not easy. #CartMarking2026 #London #Networking #Collaboration #EventOrganisation Geraint Davies

Freedom of the City of London Ceremony

09.04.2026

Today, I had the honour of receiving the Freedom of the City of London. It was an incredibly proud moment to become a Freeman of the City of London, and a real privilege to be part of such an historic ceremony, steeped in tradition and meaning. It meant so much to share the day with my husband, Geraint Davies.

I would also like to thank Joy Laister and Allison Kemp MBE for nominating me. Your support made this possible, and I am truly grateful. It has been a very special day that I will always remember.

The Woolmen Sheep Drive & Livery Fair September 2025

On 28th September 2025 Geraint Davies and I, Jen Lorraine had the pleasure of attending the Woolmen’s Sheep Drive & Livery Fair in London, driving sheep over Southwark Bridge. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day filled with history, tradition, and just a few sheep! Dating back centuries, the Sheep Drive celebrates the ancient right of Freemen of the City of London to drive sheep across London Bridge, a tradition that continues to bring people together in the heart of the City. It was lovely to catch up with familiar faces and new ones. All in all a baa-rilliant day celebrating this ewe-nique heritage, bringing together community and camaraderie. @VinceDignam @JonathanZiebart @KimPenfold @JacquelineO'Donovan The Worshipful Company Of Carmen Hall The Woolmen #SheepDriveLondon

The Worshipful Company of Carmen Capping Ceremony

14.10.2025

I’m delighted to share that today I attended my capping ceremony with The Worshipful Company of Carmen at Carmen’s Hall in the City of London. This was conducted by Past Master Nick Laister and Immediate Past Master David Pugsley.

Becoming part of such a historic Livery Company is such an honour. The declaration made during the ceremony serves as a reminder of the Company’s enduring values of promoting fellowship, charitable giving, and supporting the transport and logistics industry.

Having had close links to the industry through my husband Geraint Davies, it feels particularly meaningful to join as a spousal member. I am very grateful for this opportunity, and excited to contribute to the charitable nature, traditions and community of Worshipful Company of Carmen.

Thank you to my proposers Allison Kemp and Ann-Marie Knegt MCIJ, and to Joy Laister and Liam Walby for their valued support.

It has been a wonderful day and I’m very much looking forward to my Freedom of the City ceremony, as well as the ongoing ability to contribute alongside other members, and the journey that lay ahead.
