Year 11 Prom Night 2026 Campaign
Category
My brief was to design promotional materials for the Year 11 school prom, including posters and digital screen graphics to be displayed throughout the school. The aim was to generate excitement and anticipation among students while encouraging strong ticket sales. The brief called for a “Save the Date” announcement styled with the elegance of a wedding invitation and using a black, silver theme that would instantly capture attention.
Concept
The concept centred on creating a sense of glamour and celebration while maintaining a refined, formal aesthetic. Inspired by classic wedding stationery, the visual direction focused on a black and silver colour palette, symbolising sophistication, sparkle, and evening elegance. The design featured delicate metallic accents, graceful typography, and minimal yet luxurious details to set the tone for a special event. The phrase “Save the Date” became the focal point, echoing the importance of the occasion and inviting students to mark it in their calendars.
Execution
Using a combination of silver, grey gradients, soft shimmer effects, and elegant typefaces, I created a design that balanced style and clarity. The layout was clean and symmetrical, giving a timeless, invitation-style look. The digital screens showcased key event details presented with refined hierarchy to catch the eye as students passed by. The overall tone conveyed exclusivity, excitement, and formality appropriate for a milestone school event.
Outcome
The Prom 2026 Save the Date campaign successfully captured the sense of elegance and anticipation associated with the event. The black and silver theme gave the visuals a polished, premium feel, aligning with the aspirational nature of prom night. The consistent use of branding across print and digital formats ensured visibility and engagement throughout the school, helping to build momentum and enthusiasm for ticket sales and attendance.
