On 2nd July 2025, I was honoured to be invited to photograph Brynteg School’s Sixth Form Prom. It was a truly lovely opportunity and a real pleasure to be part of such a meaningful evening. The brief was to capture the elegance, joy, and emotion of this milestone event for Year 13 students as they celebrated the end of an important chapter in their lives.

The concept focused on documenting a balance of timeless elegance and genuine emotion, using a mix of vibrant colour photography to highlight the glamour and atmosphere, alongside black and white imagery to capture candid, heartfelt moments. The goal was to create a gallery that students could look back on for years to come — a collection that felt both celebratory and personal.

Throughout the evening, I moved between formal portraits and candid documentary-style shots, ensuring every aspect of the event was represented — from arrivals and group portraits to laughter-filled interactions and dance floor celebrations. Careful attention was paid in post-production to select the strongest moments, balancing colour and monochrome to tell a full visual story.

The final gallery offered a snapshot of an unforgettable night, celebrating not just the students’ achievements but their shared memories and friendships. For me, these are the special moments that remind me why I do what I do. It’s a privilege to capture such milestones — preserving memories that students and their families will cherish for years to come.
