School Production Marketing Brief
Category
My brief was to design promotional materials for a school summer production of “Gimme Gimme Gimme ABBA!” The brief was to create bold, energetic graphics and material that captured the fun and vibrancy of ABBA’s music, while remaining suitable for a school environment and appealing to audiences of all ages. The materials needed to be consistent across both print and digital formats, including posters, programmes, and social media graphics and photography.
Concept
The concept was built around a retro silhouette, in keeping with the distinctive 1970s disco era. The design incorporated bright blue accents and a clean white background reminiscent of the Greek Islands.
Execution
EXECUTION I created a cohesive visual identity across all promotional assets, I created the printed programme design and large-scale posters and digital displays. The typography choices balanced readability with flair, echoing the era’s iconic style. The final layout featured bilingual text (English and Welsh) for full community engagement.
Outcome
The final marketing campaign successfully generated excitement around the production, leading to sold out performances. The cohesive branding elevated the event’s profile and provided a polished, memorable aesthetic for the school’s summer showcase.
